Tenuta Il Canovino
Italy - Valpolicella
Since 1893, Il Canovino remains in the same family for four generations, the estate of Tenuta II Canovino is perched on the sunny hills of Valpolicella and encompasses 19 hectares.
Antonio Rambelli manages the winery and continues the traditions, passions and knowledge handed down from his great grandfather, grandfather and father who all took pride in farming the land by hand with minimal intervention in the cellars. Four generations of men with a common great passion for their work.
The vineyard extends on gentle slopes with an altitude ranging between 200/250 m above sea level. The soil has calcareous origin and present aspects of variability in its conformation; the results are a different water supply to the plants during the different stages of their development and a great growth of the leaves and of the grapes.
Antonio firmly believe in the significance of being respectful of biological times and rules. As in the vineyard as in the winery, They have been using only natural products and techniques forever.
The cellar is the heart of Verona and our tasting room welcomes you all year round to offer you a good tasting in good company! Only about 80,000 bottles are produced of the Quarto Vecchio every year.
